Energy to the home and businesses (lighting & power), consumer electronics and transportation touch everyday lives of Canadians. The concept of 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse & Recycle) is being expanded to reduce the impact on environmental and social concerns. New products must be designed to be eco-friendly from birth through the manufacturing process to the end of their life cycle. Transformation is taking place through energy efficiency, renewable energy and extended producer responsibility initiatives making an impact on communities and consumers’ product choices.
