Late Spring – April’s One Thing

geese-210656_640Spring is upon us. This means the snow has melted to reveal cigarette butts, and to unravel your allergies. It’s not all bad however, Spring means warmer weather and happier faces. Spring means enthusiastic cyclists, blooming flowers and flying kites. Also, get excited for PoutineFest, Tulip Festival and the Farmer’s Market!

Now that the snow and ice have melted from the roads I can return to commuting by bicycle to the college.

My new plan is jump on the bike for pleasure too. I have lived a three minute cycle from Britannia Beach for two years now but have not been on the NCC bike paths or joined the Sunday closures of the JAM Parkway.

Time to see more of the river!

Last weekend our family boiled down our first batch of sap from our lovely 100 year old maple. This weekend we are making pancakes!

We are going outside a lot with our 2 daughters and finally enjoying the beautiful spring weather. It is so exciting to be out of hibernation! We have already started to plan what we will be planting in our garden.

And it is so nice to go out for walks outside during my lunch hour!
