Brightspace, Email and Free Software Updates:

The program utilizes Brightspace Learning Management System for all of our courses and course communications. The recommended browsers to use for Brightspace are Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Brightspace provides a variety of resources, course information, schedules, grades, deadlines, and course preparations. Please be sure to sign in and begin to familiarize yourself with Brightspace prior to the orientation session. All communications between faculty and students will be via the College email system, algonquinlive.com. Please be sure to access and set up your email account. All communication to faculty and fellow students is expected to be conducted in a professional manner using proper salutations, format, spelling and grammar. Students are required to check their algonquinlive.com emails on a daily basis.

Student Support Services and Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL)

The Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) provides academic accommodations and educational support services for students with documented disabilities attending Algonquin College. The goal of CAL is to provide the necessary accommodations to equalize the opportunity for students to meet their essential course or program requirements. Services are confidential, free and voluntary. Students are required to self-identify in order to access services.
