Timetable and Lab Scheduling Alerts
ACSIS is your student portal. Spring semester timetables will be available early April on ACSIS. Go to: https://acsis.algonquincollege.com/students/
Students are encouraged to check their Algonquin College email daily for any changes to their program of study.
- Follow the ACSIS timetable for theory/lecture classes only.
- Do not follow ACSIS for the lab groups and lab schedule for VET0043 and VET0044. You will be assigned to a specific lab group and lab day by the VA Clinical Coordinator for VET0043 and VET0044. Lab groups and lab schedule information will be provided to you at the compulsory VA Orientation.
Spring and fall lectures and labs are scheduled Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Clinical labs will occur on campus and off-site. Students participate in compulsory animal husbandry rotations and provide animal care at the Veterinary Learning Centre and Clinic during the fall semester. Assigned rotations occur on campus during the week from 6 am to 7 pm.
Specific Course Timetable Information:
VET0043 Animal Restraint, Nursing and Surgical Care I
- Disregard all lab scheduling associated with VET0043 as it appears on your timetable in ACSIS. The clinical groups and schedule for VET0043 will be provided on Brightspace and introduced at VA Orientation. The clinical schedule includes multiple labs with varied scheduling requirements. Students will rotate through the labs during the semester. All students are expected to bring their veterinary assistant kits to each lab. A dress code is in effect for all clinical labs.
VET0044 Grooming I
- Disregard Grooming I lab scheduling as it appears on ACSIS. The Grooming I lab schedule for VET0044 will be provided on Brightspace and introduced at VA Orientation. Grooming smocks are required and available through the Campus Bookstore. All students are required to wear their grooming smocks and appropriate footwear to all grooming lab sessions. A dress code is in effect for all grooming labs.
VET1103 Veterinary Practice Software
- The veterinary software used is AVImark. Come prepared with your user name and password to be able to log into the system which will allow you to proceed with the scheduled lab activities.
