Student Experience

What To Expect

The Social Service Worker (Intensive) program at Algonquin College prepares you to work effectively with disadvantaged individuals, groups and communities in a variety of social service settings. The program provides you with placement opportunities in these social service settings, which enables you to choose the area of interest you would like to pursue in the future. You learn practical skills through role playing, case studies, and interviewing exercises with peers and community members.
