Gain practical work experience

The Social Service Worker Intensive program at Algonquin College prepares students to work effectively with disadvantaged individuals, groups and communities in a variety of social service settings. The program provides students with 340 hours of field placement in the second and final semesters of the program. Once the student has completed the program, they are eligible to become registered as an SSW through the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
