Eligibility
Eligible Students
- Students registered full-time at the Ottawa Campus.
- Students registered full-time Student is defined as a student who is taking at least 66⅔% of the courses in a program for a particular level or 70% of the contact hours of the program for a particular level (Ministry of Colleges and Universities Regulation).
- Students registered in a Co-op work term at Algonquin College.
- Students registered with the Centre for Accessible Learning with a part-time course load of 40% or more
All eligible students will be assessed the mandatory U-Pass Fee. Students registered with the Centre for Accessible Learning are required to Opt-In to obtain their U-Pass.
Ineligible Students
The following students are not eligible for the U-Pass Program.
- Students who are registered as part-time students in a full-time program at the College after the first 10 days of classes.
- Students who are registered in an Apprenticeship program.
- Students who are registered as full-time in online programs (AO delivery)
The following students will be ineligible for the U-Pass Program.
- Students who have officially withdrawn from their program during the term and will be disabled. Your U-Pass will no longer work when tapped on the OC Transpo and STO buses.
- Students who are registered full-time and become part-time during the term. Your U-Pass will no longer work when tapped on the OC Transpo and STO buses.
