Algonquin College and The Royal have partnered to provide a Psychiatry Clinic to Algonquin College students who are in need of this support. To access the Psychiatry Clinic, you must first meet with a physician.

Ottawa Campus – Health Services

Health Services supports Algonquin College students through individualized and confidential health and wellness care.

By contacting Health Services, you can access physicians and nurses who can provide basic treatments for common mental health issues, refer to specialized care and treatment, and support ongoing care. They also have a mental health nurse and partnership with The Royal Ottawa through their Psychiatry Clinic.

AccessMHA

AccessMHA makes it easier to help find mental health and/or substance use health support, services, and care in Eastern Ontario. They eliminate the guesswork and work with you to refer you to the services you need, all while supporting you through the process. After reaching out to AccessMHA, you will be paired with a trained mental health and addictions professional who will connect you to the services you need from a network of partner organizations.

CMHA Community Support Services

Case management services provide intensive long-term support for individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They may have a concurrent disorder (mental health diagnosis and problematic substance use), or be in conflict with the criminal justice system.
Community support workers and clients work together to develop goals and plan for an eventual transition out of services.

Rocket Doctor lets you connect with a fully licensed Ontario physician from the comfort of your home. Avoid the waiting room get the care you need, faster. This service is currently available in Ontario. Their services are primary and urgent care, specialist care, substance use and addiction care.

Body Brave

Body Brave is one of the largest community-based treatment programs in Canada and is run by a multi-disciplinary team, A Dr and Associate Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at McMaster University, an MSW clinician, persons with lived experience and dietitians to name a few. It offers self-help options as well as some clinical services covered by OHIP.
