Taming the Anxious Mind

Do you find yourself overthinking or wrestling with anxiety? Join us for this six-week program to learn more about anxiety and what to do about it!
Starting Wednesday, April 2, from 1 pm to 3 pm in the Pìdàban Room (Room C251), we will talk about working with stress and anxiety. You’ll do fun activities that help you develop coping skills and have space to share your thoughts and feelings in talking circles. Bonus: There’ll be snacks!

- April 2: Welcome & Introductions – Activity: First Talking Circle
- April 16: What are Stress & Anxiety? – Activity: Body Mapping
- April 23: Calming Anxious Feelings – Activity: Mindful Nature Walk & Grounding Skills
- April 30: How Does Unhelpful Thinking Affect Our Feelings? – Activity: Card Game & Talking Circle
- May 7: Practicing Self-Care – Activity: Indigenous Ways of Knowing on Self-Care
- May 21: Social Time – Activity: Games & Luncheon
This group will be an inclusive, safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space, so registration is required to save your spot. Students may also be specially referred to the group by an AC Counsellor.
