About Anders Drerup
Anders was born in Ottawa, Ontario, and at 15 Anders taught himself guitar. He fell in love with performing in high school after being invited onstage to play guitar at a jazz club. Anders spent the next 20 years travelling the world as a backup singer and musician.
He has always kept his career moving, from singing in Cuban supergroups, playing pedal steel guitar in touring bands across Europe, to touring China a rock guitarist in bands.
At the age of 36, Anders holds an impressive resume. In addition to performing, Anders has a successful recording studio.
Anders even appeared on season 18 of NBC’s The Voice! His original music has been described as sometimes visceral and rocking, sometimes dulcet and sweet, but always thought-provoking with a signature touch of cleverness, wit and humour.
Presented by the AC Hub.
