Services
The Robert C. Gillett Student Commons is the social hub of the Woodroffe Campus, providing students with a place for renewal, a place for friendship, a place to study, and a place to relax between the classroom and home. Inside this new ‘heart of the campus’, students will find:
- Student Success Centre
- New Technology Store
- Campus Bookstore
- Algonquin Travel
- Mobile Learning Centre
- Student Affairs & Orientation
- Private study paces/peer tutoring
- The Print Shop Copy Centre
- The Centre for Students with Disabilities
- The Mamidoeswin (Aboriginal) Centre
- An All-Faith Room
- Employment services
- Co-op Office
- Counselling Services
- Ombudsman
Bringing these services into the Student Commons means students will have ready access to them, in a space where they naturally gather. In addition, the project is aligned with the College’s strategic direction on several fronts, including increasing student success through the quality of the student experience and student engagement.
