EXFO

“EXFO is a global team of network test, data and analytics experts, and we are proud to support the students, faculty and the BIT-PLT program. Building on our strong relationship with Algonquin College and the Photonics and Laser Technology Program, we supplied and deployed to the Optophotonics Lab several EXFO FTB-500 platforms (10 gigabit next-generation SONET/SDH, OTN fiber and Ethernet channel analyzer, OSA, signal generator, test set).

The Lab was also used to test opto-electronics devices, including our optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) remote test unit (RTU-720). During this incubation, we invited our customers to attend a demo test of the network quality monitoring system, where live traffic was carried out from end-to-end of the optical networks in the Optophotonics lab. This partnership has been a successful and rewarding experience.”
