FAQ

Why should I take the Bachelor of Engineering (Automation and Robotics) (Honours) degree at Algonquin College?

Choosing to complete a degree at a College, or more accurately a Polytechnic institution, is choosing to combine the academic theory found in a University degree with the benefits a Polytechnic/College delivers to its students, some of which are;

  • Smaller class sizes, between 24 and 60 students on average,
  • A more personalized learning experience, taking our students’ interests and needs into consideration,
  • The immediate hands-on application of what you’re learning, right from the first week of classes,
  • Work-integrated learning with mandatory paid co-op semesters,
  • Applied research and in-class projects with industry clients,
  • Learning from faculty who have industry experience and expertise,
  • A wide variety of student supports including access to a Student Success Specialist, peer tutoring, and academic, mental, and physical health professionals who can help guide you through your academic and personal life, if needed.

Algonquin College prides itself on ensuring that our graduates are prepared for employment. Throughout your degree, the client-oriented projects and co-op experiences will help establish inroads with industry partners, which can help open doors to your future.
