Submitting Documents for Admissions
Providing documents to the college as proof that you meet program admission requirements can be tricky. Depending on the type of applicant you are, there will be a different process to provide the documents we need.
Click on the description that best suits you to find out how to submit your documents:
I’m an Ontario High School student.
Applicants from an Ontario High School
Declare your education through ontariocolleges.ca, and make sure to request your transcript(s) during the application. You will need your Ontario Education Number (OEN) to declare your education and request your transcript. Your school will send transcripts several times during the year, including July, which will include your final grades. If you are currently enrolled in courses outside of your high school which will be used for your application (ILC.org, St. Nicolas Adult High School, etc.), send ‘Proof of Enrolment’ to admissions@algonquincollege.com.
I’m in a Canadian High School (outside of Ontario).
Applicants from a Canadian High School
Declare your education through ontariocolleges.ca, and make sure to request your transcript(s) during the application. Contact the institution(s) directly and have them mail your official transcript(s) to ontariocolleges.ca. Your transcript(s) must be received in a sealed envelope from the institution to be considered official. We cannot process documents received by email.
I’m from another Post Secondary Institution (College or University).
Ontario Public Post-Secondary College or University (Current Students or Graduates)
Declare your education, and make sure to request your transcript during the application. You can request copies of your transcript electronically on the ‘Order Transcripts’ screen of your application. A transcript request is automatically created when you add education from an Ontario public college or university to your application. On the ‘Order Transcripts’ screen, simply select the college or university and click the Request button to place your order.
You will need to let your Institution know to send us your final grades at the end of your academic year. You will need your Post-Secondary student number to declare your education and request your transcript.
Submit your post-secondary transcripts using MyCreds
You can also use MyCreds to share post-secondary transcripts and other admission documents from other educational institutions. This service allows you to share documents with multiple institutions and ensure they’ve been viewed. Learn more.
I’m from Algonquin College (Current or Graduated students).
Algonquin Student (Current Students or Graduates)
If you have attended Algonquin College in the past, or are currently attending, your records will still be on file and you won’t need to provide a transcript to ontariocolleges.ca. Make sure to declare this education at the time of application.
I’m a Mature Student (19+ without an OSSD).
Mature Student – 19+ without an OSSD
If you do not have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent by the start of the program, and you will be 19 or older by the program start date, you may be considered for admission to the college as a Mature Student. Eligibility may be determined by academic achievement testing for which a fee will be charged. Once you have submitted your application through ontariocolleges.ca you can request academic achievement testing by emailing admissions@algonquincollege.com.
I’m applying from within Canada with International Credentials (Domestic Student).
Domestic Student with International Credentials
Apply through Ontariocolleges.ca. Applicants with international transcripts must provide proof of the subject-specific requirements and may be required to provide evidence of language proficiency. Domestic applicants with international transcripts must be evaluated through one of the two organizations that provide Credential Assessment Reports:
- International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS)
Provide a comprehensive (course-by-course) assessment for secondary and/or post-secondary studies. - World Education Services (WES)
Provide a comprehensive (course-by-course) assessment for post-secondary studies.
If you already have a Credential Assessment Report issued by one of these organizations, you can contact them directly to forward it to ontariocolleges.ca.
Please do not send original academic documents or transcripts to ontariocolleges.ca. These documents will not be returned.
I’m from another country (international Student Applications).
International Student Applications
International applicants can apply directly through the Algonquin College International Application Portal.

I’m applying for a Graduate Certificate
