Residents’ Council is a group of current residents who meet with residence management to share ideas and offer valuable feedback to help shape the residence program. With your help, we can identify new ideas, programs, and initiatives to continually improve the community. Residents Council members can offer feedback about anything they want, and our management team will help you develop leadership skills. All while having fun!

Residents’ Council meets with residence management once a month for 1-2 hours and may participate in other activities like planning events or hosting town halls.

Algonquin Residence Council Residents’ Council provides a chance to build skills like:

  • Leadership
  • Advocacy
  • Event Management & Planning
  • Time Management
  • Communication
  • Community Development

Plus, any time you spend working on Residents’ Council can count as volunteering hours on your Algonquin College Co-Curricular Record.
