Speak Up!: Introduction to Familiarize phase, March 4, 2021
Mar 04, 2021
Almost 125 College employees attended the March 2021 virtual R3 Speak Up!, where they heard a project update and participated in a Q&A with project leaders. The update included a high-level view of the Unit4 student information application implementation phases, which begins with the Planning phase in progress. The second phase, called Familiarize, begins in April and runs to November 2021.
Thirty-five minutes of the 45-minute session was devoted to questions and answers. Questions varied, and included what impacts and benefits the new Unit4 system will bring to learners and employees, how the R3 Project is applying learnings from previous implementations to its work, whether business processes are being documented, and how and where employees can see and participate in that work, and how employees can get involved in the project.
The Speak Up! was really about letting the whole College community know what the project team is doing and offering an opportunity to participate, said Laura Stanbra, Vice President, Student Services, and R3 Project Executive Sponsor. She encouraged everyone to bring forward their questions.
“At the launch last month, we introduced our project to the community,” she said. “We told you that we would rethink, redesign and reimagine our future. And a transformed future at that. The 3R’s reinforce that the college transformation is not just about technology but is about possibility. It is very much a people project so we are glad you are here today.”
