December’s Showcase event was a recap of some of our biggest highlights and key messages in 2024. The event was hosted by Claude Brulé, Algonquin College President and CEO, and Krista Pearson, Vice President of Student Services and R3 Project’s Executive Sponsor, who welcomed more than 240 participants.

Jason Taker, Manager, SIS Implementation and Digital Transformation, provided an overview of Domestic on Demand (DoD), a new integration provided by the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS), and listed the forecasted benefits for applicants, the Admissions team, and Algonquin College.

Amanda Therrien, Training Specialist, went over the Applicant Checklist, a game-changing Thesis Student Portal tool, and discussed the main features and benefits for our learners and employees.

Krista Marsden, Registrar, gave a comprehensive summary of Student Course Enrolment and the Credential Audit, which are incredible and innovative features of our new Student Information System (SIS).

Jagan Sandhu, Business Systems Analyst, and Elizabeth Holmes, Change Management Officer, presented a live demo of the updated Student Award Application process in the Thesis Student Portal.

We concluded the event with a Q&A session, where attendees were encouraged to ask questions on any of the topics discussed.

We want to thank our attendees for always coming forward with such thought-provoking and engaging questions. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that our new SIS will be configured to Algonquin College’s needs, and we are excited to see what the new year will bring!
