All About Integrations: Join Us at the Nov. 17 Showcase Event

Integrations, integrations, integrations.

Algonquin College uses a number of digital tools to help us do our work. Whether it’s Brightspace, Salesforce, Clockwork or the 49 other identified platforms that connect with our Student Information System (SIS), one thing is for sure: there’s a whole lot of communication happening between our SIS and our other platforms. We call that process, integrations.

So, how will these integrations work once we launch the new Student Information System, Thesis SM?

Great question – we’d love to tell you.

And we will – at the Nov. 17 Showcase Event.

Our technical team will pull back the integration layers and do a general overview of how the College plans to connect the new SIS with the other platforms that currently ‘talk’ with GeneSIS. We’ll use everyday terminology (promise) that will help you understand how the platforms you use will work in the future once we implement Thesis SM.

The main theme? If It’s Integrated Now, Then It Likely Will Be, or…IIINTILWB (We’re still working on our Integrations Acronym Game, or…IAG. Okay, enough!).

And, as always, we’ll put together a demo of the new SIS, Thesis SM, and have a live Q&A. We’ve been hearing many questions from you about integrations, so this will be a great Showcase to get those questions answered.

What is the R3 Showcase?

The R3 Project Showcase event to gets the College community up to speed on plans for implementing the new college-wide Student Information System and R3 Project Initiatives. The R3 Showcase events are designed for College employees to gain familiarity with new application terminology, get a sneak peek into the system through live demos and participate in a Q&A period.

Hosted by R3 Project Executive Sponsor Laura Stanbra, Vice President, Student Services, this popular (and virtual!) event welcomes anyone from the College community to attend.
