How will learners navigate Course Enrolment? Watch the October 2024 R3 Showcase!

October’s Showcase event was a continuation of our May and July Showcase events, which focused on Course Enrolment. The event was hosted by Krista Pearson, Vice President of Student Services and R3 Project’s Executive Sponsor, who welcomed more than 240 participants.

Lauren Draper, Project Manager, Business Transformation, provided a summary of Thesis terminology, a quick review of some key topics that were presented during the May and July Showcase events, and an update on the R3 Project’s role in helping AC transition to the new Course Enrolment process.

Sarah Lickley, Instructional Designer, gave an overview of what types of resources learners will have when transitioning to the Thesis Student Portal and provided a first look at the Thesis Student Portal Learning Centre website.

Haya Majbour, Business Analyst, and Elizabeth Holmes, Change Management Officer, role-played three scenario-type demos explaining how AC employees will assist learners with different academic journeys during the Course Enrolment process.

As there have been a multitude of questions surrounding Course Enrolment, the event ended with an extended Q&A session.

We want to thank our attendees for being so engaging during this three-part Course Enrolment series and coming to us with fantastic questions. Our team is dedicated to building a student information system specific to Algonquin College’s needs!
