R3 Showcase Highlights website redesign, SIS demo. April 5, 2022

The April 5 R3 Showcase welcomed more than 200 participants to its virtual gathering, where participants learned about the project updates, saw a demo of the new Student Information System, and had the opportunity to ask questions.

R3 Project Executive Sponsor and Vice President, Student Services Laura Stanbra welcomed more than 200 people to the event. She opened with a welcoming message that reiterated how the R3 Project is tied to fulfilling the College’s strategic plan and overall mission.

President and CEO Claude Brulé then announced the relaunch of the R3 website. He expressed his gratitude for college employee input and to the two co-op students who brought the website recreation to life.

Cathy McNally, Engagement and Communications Manager with the R3 Project, outlined the amount of consultation done with the website recreation as well as the goals tied to its purpose: to provide R3 Project information and updates in an easy-to-use format. She then turned it over to Rob Kershaw, Manager of eLearning and Development with the R3 Project, who provided participants with a website tour.

Sharon Rendle, Business Systems Analyst with the R3 Project, introduced Thesis SM software terms at the Event in order to give participants context about the demo Haya Majbour, Business Analyst with the R3 Project, then gave.

Following Haya’s presentation, participants were invited to ask questions. The question and answer period included a range of questions tailored to future use of the new SIS as well as further training opportunities.
