In an effort to provide a one-stop-shop for all things related to the R3 Project, the R3 Project team is excited to launch its refreshed website – and it all came together thanks to two AC co-op students.

Behind the website’s design and development are Algonquin College co-op students, Adrián Gracia and Mozhdeh Mehrafarin.

The two students worked with the R3 Communications, Change Management and Training (CCMT) team, and the duo played a pivotal role in creating and laying out the pages, designing branded graphics, and testing pages and links before the website went live.

“Adrián and Mozhdeh did an exceptional job, and it just shows how our co-op students can have such an impact in their placements,” says R3 Project Executive Sponsor and Vice President of Student Services, Laura Stanbra.

An international student, Gracia has worked for post-secondary institutions in his home country, Spain, and he says he valued the co-op experience while enhancing his resume.

“I’ve especially enjoyed this co-op because I’m able to contribute to the Algonquin College community and give back some of the knowledge I’ve received as a student,” says Gracia, who is currently enrolled in the Web Development & Internet Applications program.

With 30 years of experience in digital media and graphic design, Mehrafarin – who is studying Interactive Media Design – brought expertise to the table while also gaining Canadian industry experience.

The excellence of the Algonquin College co-op program has helped me accomplish my dream of starting my Canadian career as a digital media artist – and I hope that I can work with this kind of team moving forward.”
