Stephen Robinson
ITS
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Stephen on a number of projects on the Student Information System (GENESIS).
His attention to detail made my job of programming and testing of the requirements so much easier.
During his time spent in the Registrar’s office, he implemented a number of systems to make the workflow simpler. To his credit, Convocation now works with the use of Scanning Cards and facilitates ease for registration.
He also developed the SOA (Schedule of Activity) from scratch using the minimal programming tools at his disposal in addition to a tracking system for maintenance and project requests.
Since Stephen came to work in ENTERPRISE BUSINESS APPLICATIONS on the HR/BUS/PAYROLL systems, he has continued to grow. He is a self-learner, what he doesn’t know he will find out through research and investigation.
The skill set that he brings with him has automated a number of processes that we have performed manually in the past, to name a few, DCT and CAAT end of year balancing, automatic PeopleSoft Daily transfers, the EXIT procedure for Full Time staff leaving the college and many more, which save so many man hours of work.
Stephen is a natural leader in the department, and we in I.T.S are so fortunate to have him working with us. He is and continues to be a credit to Algonquin College and I am proud to be his colleague and friend.
