Sophia Bouris

Student Affairs and Orientation

Sophia has been an employee of the College for approximately 17 months as the full-time Student Affairs and Orientation Officer.  Her position carries much responsibility with creating a welcoming and engaging experience for students both new and returning.

In a very short period of time, Sophia has done a fantastic job of adding a much needed element of fun into both the college-wide fall and winter orientation programs.  She has introduced many technological changes within the department to create a seamless process for students to communicate with the College earlier, register for a variety of student-focused events, and get answers to important questions.

Sophia has developed very strong partnerships with the Students’ Association and Residence Life to make sure that the student’s needs are met to the student’s specifications.  She has increased the number of student-focused events on campus so that students continue to feel engaged and connected to the college.
