No matter what the situation – even during the busiest time at year-end – I can always count on the ladies in Purchasing to do all they can to help. They are always, courteous, friendly, and extremely helpful. You can tell that there is a smile on their faces when you talk to them on the phone.
When I first started working at Algonquin, and was learning Peoplesoft and the required procedures, the ladies were always there to help. All I had to do was ask, and they took time out of their busy schedules to help me out, or talk me through it. Even to this day, if I am unsure of something, they put their own work on hold to help out. They are committed to excellence.

How they help in a panic: the expediting of requisitions and issuing of POs within hours, in order to allow emergency work/repairs to begin immediately by a company that will not proceed without a PO or during summer construction to ensure all is complete by the deadline for the new school year.

Their help is consistent and they are committed to the College’s values. If I leave a message, they always call me back right away. If I send an email, they always email me back in a timely manner – even if they are away from the College.

I hope you will choose them to receive the Star. They truly do deserve it.
