Marie exemplifies the role of a support person. She is constantly going beyond any expectation we have for a person in her role. She is always happy to get involved and help wherever she is needed. Some examples of her work include:

1: Figuring out how to furnish an entire new office section for little or no money.

2: She managed to get a series of donations from IKA including computers, furniture and printer, truly unbelievable.

3: Marie is always involved in our meetings, sometimes giving a very different perspective which is a good thing. Not enough of our support staff feel the confidence that Marie has to give us their perspective.

4: Finally one of the coolest things with Marie is her candy jar policy. Students and staff are always welcome to a jar of candy at her desk, always available, always full.

It’s a real treat to deal with Marie (meant literally and figuratively). You can tell that she does it out of the goodness of her heart. She is a genuine person that adds a lot to our department and to this school. We are very happy to have our Marie with us here at the SHT.
