Liane Amos

Registrar’s Office – Financial Aid

We would like to nominate our Colleague, Liane Amos to be a recipient of the Presidents Star Award.

Liane is one of our Financial Aid Officers, and truly exemplifies the College’s Core Values at Algonquin College. Liane is a very caring and understanding individual to both her students and to her colleagues. Liane is a mentor in our office and is extremely knowledgeable with regards to policies and procedures for the Ontario Student Assistant Program, Financial Aid Bursaries, Part time Canada Student Loan, and the Ontario Special Bursary Program. We call her the “Financial Aid Guru”.

Liane is a dedicated Financial Aid Officer with a strong work ethic, ensuring students are receiving the best care and up to date information with regards to their finances.

The Financial Aid Section is an extremely busy office and Liane always takes the time to see her students as well as make the student feel really important. Liane ensures that students are comfortable and that they know their issue does matter, Liane gives a workable solution to resolving the problem. Liane is the slogan “here 2 help”

Please consider Liane for the Presidents Star Award, as she truly deserves this award. For over 15 years Liane has helped so many students; without her help and assistance these students would not have succeeded or graduated from their program. We call her “the angel in the corner” in Financial Aid.
