Joanne Venne

In 1981 Joanne was hired by the Management Center. She joined the staff in Financial Aid in 1990 and quickly earned the lead hand position. She was promoted to Supervisor in April 2006. Joanne genuinely loves her work here at the College. She provided a shoulder to cry on when students felt overwhelmed and put solutions into place to ensure the students would stay enrolled in their program. She empowered students so they felt they could handle a crisis and succeed. To this day, Joanne receives emails from students and parents who still let her know how they are doing. By doing this she has helped the College with financial stability and engagement! She has received countless thank you cards and gifts from parents and students alike for her excellent service. Joanne is a wonderfully caring individual. It is no doubt that she was loved by all her clients.

Joanne joined the Human Resources team in December, 2007. We count ourselves lucky everyday that Jo joined our team. Joanne’s dedication to her job was evident from the beginning. She is constantly smiling and has taken on progressively more responsibility since joining us. She spearheaded the efforts to increase EAP knowledge throughout the college and has also developed and delivered the wellness sessions with Shepell.fgi. Jo can always be counted on to help others whenever needed regardless of the size of the task. A true candidate for the President’s Star Award.
