It is a pleasure and an honour to work directly with Sharon and I believe she is a shining example of what this College is all about. On a consistent basis, Sharon provides the highest quality of service to our students. She goes over and above to make sure our students are getting the required help they need and I can think of countless examples of times when Sharon has been able to provide high quality support for our students and she does this on a daily basis.

Sharon and I share the position of Student Success Specialist in General Arts and Science. She demonstrates a level of excellence that is a challenge to live up to. More importantly, she is a role model for me in my position. Each and every week, Sharon brings a level of caring to our office that is unmatched. She consistently stays after hours and is diligent in following up with students. Sometimes, months after initial contact with a student, Sharon will go out of her way to reach out to a student to see if we can offer any further support. One does not have to look far to find a student who has been touched by her. I have the pleasure of hearing testimonials from students on a weekly basis about the excellent service she provides. Moreover, students always return with a card or a gift for Sharon to express their gratitude for the support she has provided. I cannot think of a more deserving person in the College to receive this award. Sharon is a shining example of the College’s core values of Caring, Learning, Integrity and Respect.
