Ed Strange

I would like to nominate Ed because of his stalwart support of applied research and his commitment to using applied research to enhance his student’s educational experience. As key researcher in Computer Studies, Ed has demonstrated exemplary service to his clients and has been instrumental in helping many of them grow their businesses. For instance, Ed was involved with Chide.it from its inception. Chide.it has grown rapidly over the past three years, has hired 4 Algonquin graduates, has a license agreement with Algonquin and continues to work with the College on applied research projects.

Ed has planned for the future by mentoring other faculty to work with students and clients in applied research, thus ensuring a larger supply of faculty will be available to work with student on applied research in the future.

Ed is a huge asset to the College, Computer Studies and Applied Research and is thoroughly deserving of a President’s Star Award.
