Always a cheerful hello, always a smile and a laugh, always service that exemplifies the College’s Here 2 Help standard. This is the team at the First Cup coffee stand in the lobby of C building. Linda Joly, Suwanna Jiravitayabon, Clarice Gois-Ardovini and Scott Cole exemplify the College values of caring and respect as they serve the multitude of staff, students and visitors who come for a coffee or a bite to eat. No matter how long the lines, no matter how rushed the customers, to a person, this team is professional, patient and passionate. On any given day, Algonquin staff can be seen exchanging a story, a weekend adventure or a laugh with this team. They brighten up everyone’s day.

As the first people many visitors see and interact with when they enter the front doors of C building, Linda, Suwanna, Clarice and Scott are true ambassadors for the College. They are an information source for staff and students alike answering questions and providing information and directions — always in a professional and pleasant way.

It is my pleasure to nominate the First Cup team of Linda Joly, Suwanna Jiravitayabon, Clarice Gois-Ardovini and Scott Cole for a President’s Star Award.
