Tracy Norris
Academic Partnerships
It is with great pleasure that I write a nomination for Tracy Norris. Tracy is currently working through her first-year at the college as the Dual Credit Coordinator in Academic Partnerships. Tracy is committed to providing the best possible experience to each and every dual credit student who enrolls into the program here at Algonquin College. This year that is a record 1020 students! From class visits and information sessions to district school board sessions and one-on-one interviewing, Tracy supports these students every step of the way.
In just under a year, Tracy has demonstrated a consistent commitment to produce the best programming opportunities for all stakeholders involved in the Dual Credit program. She demonstrates the College values of Caring, Learning, Integrity, Respect in every aspect of her work and ensures that there is access and equity for all students at our six school board partners.
What many people don’t know is that Tracy is also finishing her Master’s in Education. For the last few months Tracy has been staying after hours to work on her course work. Often Tracy leaves the office open for Dual Credit students who require extended hours of service. This results in a continued interruption of her off-hours studying to maintaining the college commitment to being Here2Help. A service many students are grateful for.
A President’s Star would help to recognize the efforts Tracy puts in to her role demonstrating the college’s commitment to live our Core Values.
