“This program proved to be challenging (as expected in a condensed course); yet, very rewarding. The number of skills that I learned in the 45 weeks that I was there was amazing! I considered myself to be very knowledgeable with computers, and was surprised with how much I still learned. Not only that, I mastered accounting which I didn’t think was possible. Shortly after finishing the program, I received a position at Aviva Pilot Insurance in Ottawa, ON. I first started in a contract position as a Claims Assistant and approximately 5 months into my contract, I was offered a permanent position as the Administrative Assistant. It is a wonderful company, and I know without the education I received at Algonquin College, I would not be here today.”
