Job Description

Before and After School RECE* Educator
*Registered Early Childhood Educator or Child and Youth Worker
St. John’s Elementary School

Permanent, Part-Time – 60 hours bi-weekly
This position is expected to begin on or about January 27, 2025

As part of a child care team, you will assist staff in providing a daily program for children in a safe, secure environment in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the program and the Child Care and Early Years Act. Educator must be familiar with the “How Does Learning Happen?” document. Fulfill all the obligations and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The hours of work and location will be determined by enrolment and operational requirements and are subject to change.

Required Qualifications:

• *Must be RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator or Child and Youth Worker;
• If RECE must be a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
• A current Police Vulnerable Sector Check;
• Have or be willing to take Standard First Aid and CPR, prior to start.

Pay Rate: as per Collective Agreement CUPE Local 4474
