Personal Support Worker (PSW, DSW) – $24.50/hr, Mileage reimbursement

Key Responsibilities:

Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and personal care.
Enable clients to live at home, doing what they love to do.
Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Coordinator.
Help clients with their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker.
Assist clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises.
Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description.
Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Requirements and Experience:

Valid certificate for PSW, DSW, HCA, or foreign-trained nurse.
Vehicle/Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance required, and must be willing to travel to remote locations in surrounding rural areas.
Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector Check (less than 1 year old, updated a every 5 years).
Driver’s Abstract (paid by River Spring Home Care).
Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (less than 2 years old, updated every 5 years).
2 Professional references.
Flexible availability: Shifts are 3-12 hours, day, overnight, and weekends.

Availability:

Flexibility is required.
Casual.

License/Certification:

PWS or DSW, or 1st year RPN student(with 1 completed clinical rotation) – (required)
Class G License (required)
CPR Certification (preferred)

Russell region: Carlsbad Springs, Casselman, Clarence-Rockland, Embrun, Gloucester, Hawkesbury, Limoges, L’Orignal, Russell, St. Isidore, Vankleek Hill, Vars
