Location: The Factory, 40 Sunset Blvd. Unit 30, Perth, ON, Canada

Hours: 10-12 hours per week, Flexible Schedule

Compensation: $1000 per month

Position Overview:
The Perth and District Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Social Media Assistant to support our organization in promoting local businesses and events. This role offers flexible hours depending on the time of year, reporting directly to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:
– Create engaging content for newsletters, ensuring timely and informative updates.
– Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) by planning and scheduling posts that highlight Chamber initiatives, member businesses, and community events.
– Design eye-catching flyers for Chamber events and promotions.
– Develop and execute email campaigns using Mailchimp to effectively reach our membership base.
– Occasionally attend Chamber events outside of regular hours to provide social media coverage and support.
– Work closely with Executive Director to plan and executive social media calendar

Qualifications:
– Proven experience in marketing, social media management, or related fields.
– Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
– Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva) for creating promotional materials.
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
– Has attention to detail, willingness to collaborate and is an excellent communicator.
– Availability to attend occasional evening or weekend events as needed.
