2022/2023
- Establishment of campus-wide protocols for indigenous events
- Partnered with Local Immigration Partnership for Welcome Wednesdays (Feb 2023)
- Land Acknowledgement messages now include both English and Anishinaabe (August 2023)
2021/2022
- Prayer Rooms developed on campus (Nov 2021)
- Smudging spaces developed on campus and smudging policy developed (Dec 2021)
- Land Acknowledgement Statement developed (Jan 2022) and posted at main campus entrances
- IDEA Webpage launched (Feb 2022)
- Suggestion Box developed: hardcopy and online (Feb 2022)
- Committee member Melissa Pfeil raised funds to bring attention and financial support to equity seeking persons in the trades. $1500 will be awarded as a bursary (April 2022)
- Diversity Murals: secured funds, ran workshops for all learners and staff, and co-created the murals with highly regarded professional artists (Murals completed May 2022)
