Interested in learning more about the beautiful outdoor environment? Join us for an interpretive beginner hike at Shaw Woods Educational Centre. What better way to spend your mid-term break than enjoying the outdoors, learning about plant life and animals, and experiencing the beauty of the Canadian fall.

Dress in layers to ensure you are comfortable and running shoes or secure shoes. If this is your first hike, that is ok!

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? We will leave the College at 1 p.m. Please meet in the Commons and we will travel together to Shaw Woods. You will be driven back to the College by 5 p.m.

What can I bring into the event? It is recommended that you wear multiple layers of clothes to ensure that you are comfortable during the hike. Running shoes or sturdy secure shoes are recommended. If you have hiking boots, please wear them. If you don’t have hiking boots, not to worry – they are not necessary.

Will lunch be provided? Yes. A picnic lunch will be available for you for free.
