Kim Drake is originally from Ottawa, Ontario. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from McMaster University, and an Honours degree in International Studies from York University, Kim went on to work full-time for General Motors. It was during this first year that Kim’s natural accounting ability and love for continual learning thrust her into the Certified General Accounting program. Kim has worked in Accounting, Budgeting, Inventory Management, and as a production planner for an outdoor clothing company. Kim came to the College in 1998 and has continued to share her knowledge with the students in a laptop environment. She enjoys challenging the students to work independently, explore technology, and apply all they learned in the Business program toward a sustainable and rewarding career. Kim continues to pursue lifelong learning and has recently completed her Masters of Education through Charles Stuart University in Australia.
