AC Hub Student Activities
What is the AC Hub?
At the Pembroke Waterfront Campus, Student Services works with AC Hub to organize a number of fun and helpful activities for our students. AC Hub activities are held at the Pembroke Campus throughout the year. They have included special speakers, winter carnival events, relaxing zen doodling, mini-massage therapy during exams, and light therapy lamps. Other activities included winter tubing, board games, magicians, musicians, sports, and lots of great food! In addition, the AC Hub provides a number of virtual outreach opportunities to students in Pembroke.
Programming & Events
Students cultivate partnerships, friendships, and networking connections at AC Hub activities and events. The AC Hub strives to enhance our students’ academic experience beyond the scope of the classroom. It provides opportunities to meet new people, and become actively involved in campus life. Being more social helps you to build positive memories and networks that will stay with you beyond your time at Algonquin.
AC Hub Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
The AC Hub helps encourages students to become a vital part of Algonquin’s culture. Through the AC Hub, students can engage in a number of different activities during the year. These include Hub Talks, workshops, social events, or volunteer opportunities (Co-curricular Record aka. CCR). The AC Hub is a great introduction to College life and services.
AC Hubcast – Have a Listen!
Similar to TED Talks, these sessions are led by industry leaders, alumni, employers, business experts, community partners, and more, and are meant to inspire, inform, motivate, and engage you.

Winter Carnival
Our Winter Carnival is a pleasant break from the cold of the winter. Students and staff enjoy some winter fun by playing games like snow volleyball and snowshoeing and dog sledding. There are also student-staff hockey games (both a women’s and men’s game). The event tops off with a free meal with other students.
