The 4th annual Patio Party invites you to take a stroll through our city core and discover the region’s locally talented musicians while supporting local businesses.

  • Saturday, September 8
  • 12 – 4 p.m. @ Downtown Pembroke

The City of Pembroke and the Pembroke Business Improvement Area (PBIA) are collaborating for the 4th year of the Downtown Pembroke Patio Party. This event seeks to bring together many downtown businesses and restaurants to hold an event to celebrate the music, food, and culture of the area and our downtown core. This
year, the event will be held on Saturday, September 8th and run from 12-4 p.m at Janna and Kerry’s, The Courtyard Bistro, Lasso Live and The Grind with a variety of musicians.

Recreation programmer Elijah McKeown noted, “We’re happy to host this event again to showcase the talent hailing from this area and infused with the region. We have a rich blend of genres and musical flavours in Pembroke which we’re glad to put on display.”

At The Courtyard Bistro, Ottawa based Rory Taillon (12-2 p.m.) is a road warrior, touring across the country and back again. His latest album, ‘Only Whispers’ is the work of a man with a voice to match the majesty of the Rockies. Afterward, Toronto’s Brooklyn Doran (2-4 p.m.) will take the stage. Her live show weaves song and
storytelling, from humorous anecdotes to emotional ballads, to delightfully folk-infused love songs.

Performing at Janna and Kerry’s, Renfrew native Jordan Dubeau (12-2 p.m.) has been playing in the Ottawa Valley for over 10 years with his solo act and his duo, Mister and His Sister. Jordan will be performing songs from his new self-titled EP, giving a new alternative rock style to his folk routes. After a stint with The Murder by the Lake Band, JJ Staley (2-4 p.m.) finds himself solo again, releasing his debut album Wildflower this September and will be gracing the stage with his Canadiana songwriting.

At Lasso Live, Jon Christink (12-2 p.m.) will be playing his classic country tunes as he continues to tour across the province and afterward local duo Jess and Tony (2-4 p.m.) bring the new pop era to their acoustic act as they play on their home stage.

The Grind will feature Trevor Moore (12-4 p.m.), who has been performing with Uturn since 2008 and helps lead worship at Calvary Baptist Church. He currently teaches music at Fellowes High School and teaches private guitar lessons at the Ottawa Valley Music School.

“Downtown Pembroke really enjoys hosting the Patio Party. It’s a fun and easy way to explore downtown and see just some of the great things it has to offer,” expressed PBIA manager Heather Sutherland.

Many downtown restaurants will be serving Patio Party specials during the event. For more information contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 613-735-6821 ext. 1501 or email recreation@pembroke.ca.
