adventure travel television shows from around the world? Heliconia is looking for a part-time financial assistant whose role will be to support the Financial Manager in keeping books and records up to date and in good order.

Financial Assistant
Part-time, Fixed-Term Contract (12 months, with possible extension)
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Remote (with availability to meet in Beachburg)
Hours: 20-24 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with potential for more in busy periods
Hourly Pay: $22/hr

Responsibilities
• Liaising with staff, vendors and customers as required in order to fulfill the tasks of the role.
• Review and record company expenditures
• Assist with Accounts Payable tasks as required.
• Track processing of sales contracts, generate and send out invoices and statements, and other Accounts Receivable tasks.
• Ensure proper filing of documents, whether electronic or hard copy.
• Prepare reports as required.
• Other tasks related to the Financial Assistant role as assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field or vocational qualification and relevant experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or bookkeeping role
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable and payable
• Good communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working to deadlines
• Adept with using computer programs such as Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online, and comfortable with learning new software as required.
