Get Academic Help From a Trained Student

The Algonquin Peer Tutoring Centre matches current students who are having academic difficulties with trained students for one-to-one tutoring. If a match is available, sessions could start within as little as 48 hours. The Peer Tutoring Centre is designed to help students with course specific difficulties. This service is offered to all Algonquin College students and is located in room C259 (DARE District).

The tutoring fee is $8.00 per hour (effective May 8, 2018). Students with severe financial hardship can apply to the Peer Tutoring Centre for financial support.

Interested in becoming a tutor? All tutors must have graduated with at least a B+ grade in the course they are tutoring and receive a recommendation from their professor stating the student has a strong understanding of the course material.
