Catalogue of Employee Learning Offerings

Welcome to the Algonquin College Catalogue of Employee Learning Offerings! This fulsome collection is composed of the ongoing employee learning opportunities provided by four of the key learning and development players at the college: AC Online, Centre for Organizational Learning, Corporate Training, and Learning and Teaching Services. For employees to successfully enrol in their desired offering a comprehensive list of enrolment instructions for each areas’ offerings has been provided under the “Employee Enrolment Processes” heading.

Leadership	Centre for Organizational Learning		AC CARES Service Excellence Model	The AC People Plan states in 1.3 Our People Promise, People come to work at Algonquin College, and continue their careers here, because they have a strong commitment to service, life-long learning and helping our clients, the learners, become leaders of tomorrow. Participants in this interactive workshop will work both individually, and as a team, to reflect on AC's Customer Service Standards (CARES) and review various scenarios to arrive at a comprehensive understanding of service delivery excellence. Participants will discuss and have the opportunity to examine service delivery best practices and share some of their own proven techniques for dealing with customers effectively. Leadership	Centre for Organizational Learning		AC Financial Literacy	This introductory session will provide participants with an overview of the Finance and Administrative Services Department of Algonquin College via departmental presentations from Corporate Planning, Financial Services, Operational Accounting (AR, AP, and Treasury), Procurement, and Shipping, Receiving and Mail Services. There will also be an overview of financial reporting, the budgeting process, strategic long-term forecasting, Strategic Investment Priorities, and funding models used by the College. This interactive session is intended to provide key information to new College employees so that they understand the fundamental financial components and accounting processes of Algonquin College, and to share Finance and Administrative Services Department information to support employees in succeeding in their new roles within Algonquin College. Technology	Centre for Organizational Learning		Adaptive Planning: Introduction to Dashboards	This session will provide you with an introduction on how to create and view Dashboards directly in Adaptive Planning. Technology	Centre for Organizational Learning		Adaptive Planning: Introduction to Matrix Reporting	This session will provide you with an introduction to be able to create Matrix reports directly in Adaptive Planning. Technology	Centre for Organizational Learning		Adaptive Planning: Introduction to OfficeConnect	This training session will provide you with an introduction on creating management and other internal financial reports within Excel using live Adaptive Planning data. OfficeConnect functionality gives you the ability to create reports and report templates directly within Excel, providing you with the flexibility of Excel and links to live Adaptive Planning data. The Adaptive Planning data can then be refreshed as often as you would like to provide the most up to date Adaptive Planning reports.	Synchronous	View Offerings

The Algonquin Leadership in Education Institute (ALEI) consists of three separate programs: The Leader in Me (ALEI 1), Leading with Others (ALEI 2) and Organizational Leadership (ALEI 3). The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) is provincial legislation with the goal of removing barriers for people with disabilities by 2025.
