Career development guidance and support is available for all Algonquin College employees. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills, explore new opportunities, or prepare for the next step in your professional journey, we’re here to support you.
Our Career Development Team coordinates and provides programming and support, including resume assistance, interview skills and preparation, career pathway support, career development planning, understanding professional development opportunities, and workshops designed to support all areas of career development.
Current employees are encouraged to explore the Career Growth & Development Hub, an essential resource for career advancement. The Hub includes links to Knowledge Centres, information on upcoming workshops, and details on how to book an appointment with a member of our Career Development Team.
- Support Staff – A two-year Initiative/Opportunity Career Development Specialist position was introduced in October 2024 to support this work. Brooke Adams is the Career Development Specialist assigned to support Full-Time and Regular Part-time Support Staff.
- Academic and Administrative Employees – Our Performance and Development Specialists, Devon Prelaz and Vanessa Herman, are available to assist with career growth and development. They provide tailored support and resources to help you achieve your professional goals.
Eligible Algonquin College employees who have had their position impacted in 2025 may be able to access select career transition resources to support their professional development and efforts in securing new employment.
