Winter Parking Tips

Now that the Winter season has arrived, our Parking Services team has some helpful campus parking tips.
- Take your time in the parking lots and try to park as straight as possible.
- Please be careful not to triple park – it can be challenging to see the difference between rows of cars in snowy weather.
- During heavy snowfalls, our Parking Services team can be found in the parking lots offering assistance, or you can call us directly at 613-727-4723 Ext. 7187.
- Overnight parking is only permitted in the Visitor’s Lot and Lot 11 (Residence). If you anticipate having to leave your car overnight, please contact Parking Services at 613.727.4723. x 7187.
- Overnight parking is not permitted in Lots 1, 8, 9, 10 and 12.
All efforts will be made to clear the parking lots in a timely manner, however, depending on the timing of a snowfall, this may not always be possible.
Additional Winter Driving Tips
Check weather reports before leaving the house and adjust driving behaviour to meet conditions.
Allow extra travel time
Have winter tires installed on your vehicle
Keep a snow brush in the car and completely clear all snow before driving
Clear snow and turn on your headlights, even during the day
