Overnight Parking
Overnight parking at Ottawa campus is prohibited without a valid overnight parking permit or permission from Parking Services. Overnight parking can be purchased through Park, Pay & Go machines located in lots 7 & 11 any time after 5:00 pm. Overnight parking is allowed in lots 7 & 11 only, unless instructed to park elsewhere by Parking Services. If you are a daytime permit holder and you want to park overnight you must contact Parking Services, between 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday, to request permission. Parking Services may refuse to allow your vehicle to remain overnight on College property or the office may assign you a permit number and specific area where you may leave the vehicle. A vehicle left unattended overnight on Algonquin property may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s risk and expense.
Snow Clearing and Overnight Parking Regulations
Algonquin College enlists the services of a contractor to engage in snow clearing activities upon accumulations in excess of 3 cm. Snow clearing takes place during the evening and overnight hours.
If you are a valid permit holder in the Residence lot, you will be required to check with the Residence Front Desk to ensure your vehicle is not obstructing snow clearing activities on days when plowing is expected. A reasonable attempt will be made to inform you of snow clearing activities scheduled for the Residence lot by the Front Desk staff.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT OBSTRUCTING SNOW CLEARING ACTIVITIES TO AVOID BEING TICKETED AND/OR TOWED FROM THAT LOT.
