U-Pass

OC Transpo and Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) have come to an agreement in principle and the U-Pass will now be universal for both transit services. Gatineau students residing in the STO service area are now included and are entitled to all the benefits of the U-Pass program.

In 2014, the Algonquin Students’ Association sponsored a Universal Transit Pass Referendum. In March 2015 the U-Pass Agreement was formally signed with the City of Ottawa for the upcoming academic year starting in 2015 Fall.

The cost of the U-Pass is $202.46 per term for the 2017/2018 academic year. The U-Pass will typically be charged annually in a student’s first term in an academic year (some exceptions apply). A U-Pass Administrative Fee of $3.42 will be charged once per academic year.
