We have an overflow process in place. For instance – If a lot 8 permit holder arrives and lot 8 is full, they are welcome to park in lot 9 at no additional cost. The same concept applies to lot 9, who can park in lot 16. If you are still unable to find a space, our team can help in person in E120 (across from Starbucks) or by calling 613.727.4723 x7187.

Parking permits can be purchased online. Daily parking options are also available for purchase online or via the Honk Mobile app/website.

When you purchase parking, you will receive a receipt however, you will not receive a physical permit. Parking Services is now using Licence Plate Recognition. This is an easy and convenient way to identify your parking permit by scanning your licence plate, eliminating the need for a physical parking permit.

Please ensure that your licence plate information is up to date. Your registered licence plate provides access to your designated parking lot.

Your parking username and password are the same you use for your email, and to log into a computer on campus.  You can find this information in your ACSIS account.  If you’re a new student, your username and password should be available on ACSIS after your timetable is released).  You will need your network username and password to purchase a parking permit online.

If parking permits are sold out, you can add yourself to the waitlist and you will be contacted when a parking spot becomes available. 

A small grace period is provided to all non-permitted vehicles upon arrival to allow time to purchase a permit from a nearby pay station.

You can register as many vehicles as you want under the same parking permit however, you can only park one vehicle at a time under that permit. Any additional vehicles found on campus at the same time, under the same parking permit, will be subject to parking violation. Two vehicles listed under the same parking permit may be on campus at the same time if the second vehicle purchases daily or short-term parking.

You can add/remove vehicles to your parking permit (parking account) at any time, including loaner or rental vehicles. It is important that you remove vehicles from your account as soon as your use of the temporary vehicle has ended.

No, you do not need to display your receipt. All of the Park, Pay and Go stations on campus are integrated with Licence Plate Recognition (LPR). These pay stations will not dispense paper permits unless a receipt is required, but instead will allow you to use your licence plate number that you have entered to generate a permit for your vehicle for daily, evening/weekend or short-term parking.

You can have more than one licence plate registered to your account if you have more than one vehicle – but you cannot have more than one vehicle parked on campus at a time.

Payment for parking is required at all times in all lots. Please check out our rates pages for more information about the permit and Park, Pay & Go options available.

Parking Infraction Notices can be appealed within ten (10) days of the issue date through our online appeal system.

Permit cost depends on location and length of time. There are both short- and long-term parking options available. Check out our rates page for more detailed information. Please note that some lots are reserved for specific groups and programs.  the Parking Options Selector can assist with determining the best parking option for you.

You can request a change online to add a vehicle to a permit or send an email to parking@algonquincollege.com.

Overnight parking is only permitted in lots 7 & 11. If for any reason, you need to park overnight in any other area — you must first obtain permission from Parking Services. Email us at parking@algonquincollege.com to make a request.

Lot 11 is reserved for residents. You can use the park, pay and go station for short stays, or purchase a Lot 11 permit online for longer stays. Overnight parking is permitted in Lot 11.

Parking Services does not allow the transfer of a permit to another person. If you do allow someone else to use or buy your parking permit, you will still be held accountable for any fees, Parking Infraction Notices, or account changes. We strongly recommend you do not allow anyone else to use your pass for any reason.

Areas are reserved for holders of accessible parking permits in several locations around campus. Please note that payment is required for all visitors at Algonquin College. Accessible parking permit holders are also eligible to purchase designated accessible parking permits.

No, your permit allows you to park daily from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. in your designated lot.

University of Ottawa and Carleton University students or faculty who require parking to attend joint programs at Algonquin College must present their institution’s issued parking permit or electronic permit receipt to the Parking Office in order to obtain authorization to park on Campus. Once you receive permission from Algonquin College, you can park in lot 9 at no extra cost. Algonquin College offers this reciprocal parking arrangement, fostered in good faith, to any student or faculty member enrolled/engaged in a collaborative program between the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Parking Services reserves the right to delay/refuse authorization where enrollment documents/proof of course registration have not been satisfied.

Please note, cash payments are no longer accepted for parking on campus, all payments must be made by debit, credit, or by using a guest pass.
