How to Register

Important!

General elective selection is only required in specific programs and designated program terms of levels. Some require specific electives.

To select your elective, please complete and submit the AC Online General Elective Selection Form. The form will display only the electives you eligible to take.

You should ONLY move forward with submitting your General Elective form if your program requires an elective in the upcoming term.

Course Registration

When you submit your general elective selection, the registrar’s office will add it to your course load when your full course load registration takes place. If you have already been registered in your other courses, the general elective will be added to your course load within 2-3 business days. Once registered, you will receive an email with your updated course selection and be able to view the course on ACSIS.

If you do not select your general elective by the registration deadline, you will not be registered in a general education elective, this could impact your ability to follow the program progression and graduate on time.

Other Options

  1. Exemptions: If you have received an exemption for your General Education elective, you do not need to make a selection or register.
  2. Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR): provides college course credits by recognizing relevant learning acquired through paid employment, community work, independent study, on the-job training, volunteering and travel and leisure activities.
