A Business Analyst (BA) needs to be flexible, creative and equipped to navigate the complexities of today's organizations. Students are introduced to the International Institute of Business Analysis'R'(IIBA'R') organization, terminology and practices. Students identify and describe the key functions of business analysis within a range of business operations utilizing IIBA 'R' BABOK'R' Core Concept Model'TM', knowledge areas, perspectives, underlying competencies and techniques. Students participate in the planning and monitoring of activities required of a Business Analyst as defined by the BABOK'R' through group discussion, case study analysis and creation of business documents; the foundation from which students build specific business analysis skills is established.
